Trend Blend

Someone called Ross Dawson puts together an annual map of trends emerging in the world (trends for 2009 pictured).  He uses a number of different representations, but all easily understandable.  They're in pdf format so you can zoom right up on the details as well.  A useful resource for anyone starting out on a design thinking problem.
